A pair of German ormolu-mounted kingwood, sycamore and fruitwood marquetry commodes

sprays within shaped cartouches and decorated with gilded foliate-cast scroll
handles.
Most probably conceived by a Dresden court cabinet maker for a royal apartment,
these exquisite commodes are of perfect proportions and display the full
splendour of the Saxon court.
